I think it was raising the debt limit, wasn't it?
West could have made a stand, but he didn't.
He probably had some people in the GOP establishment telling him that he would get nowhere if he didn't follow party line. (who knows? )
I was a huge supporter of West up until that point. I think there are lots of people who feel the same. I still admire him very much, but he has taken himself down a notch in credibility.

Exactly how to handle Muslim whack jobs. I'm sure Obama will be apologizing for West's speech shortly.

I am making assumptions, but for him, it was probably like having to run the snake in that clogged up toilet. He doesn't want to do it, but it's the only way to keep the **** from backing up too much.

Who knows why AW did what he did, but the people who trusted him were disappointed. What we need are representatives that do the right thing......and, he did not.
One could only guess about AW's standing had he voted like so many of those who believed in him needed him to do......but, I'd venture a guess that he would, right now, at this very moment in time, be 10x more relevant in the politics of the day than he is right now.
btw: I agree with the others here, and really enjoyed seeing Colonel West stand up to the "entrapment" questioning about Islam. Unfortunately, he'll have to do the right thing 100 times before one disappointment can be forgotten. That's just the reality for us who are looking for "the right man" to follow.
(edit: When I say "the right man", those of you who know me are well aware that I can give my vote and complete support to "the right woman", as well........just thought I'd add that before someone misinterprets what I said. )

Yea West is my Rep and I was shocked when I saw him vote for the recent "internet security" bills. Sent an email to him, no response back.

Allen West is the president we need NOW!
Throw Obama out of the White House, give Romney bus fare back to Massachusetts, and swear West in as president today.
