Are you guys finding any deals...

On gunsamerica or gunbroker? I've thought about looking around for deals on there. Not looking for anything specific, but prob wouldn't pass up a screaming deal, with due diligence of course.

Most folks tend to ask new prices for their used guns, gets me frustrated to no end.

I picked up a sig P230 for $325 about a month ago on GB. Usually, you can't find a good deal on the popular guns because they get so many search hits. GB is usually a good place to get good deals on more obscure guns. I've seen SW99's go for like $225.

Call me a dinosaur, but I don't buy guns sight unseen from sources that I don't know.

Sometimes you can find good deals on GunBroker, I have and been happy. Kinda like Ebay new stuff weekly and some days have better deals than others. I check in weekly or so and see some nice stuff.

Here's a case in point, local guy has a Glock G30sf with 2 mags up for sale. It's suppose to be in excellent condition but it's still USED, he's asking $525. I can get a new one with three mags through GSSF for $491+tax and tics fee. So for about $550 out the door I can get a brand new G30sf with 3 mags for $25 more then he's asking.
I have $625 into my ATI 1911($425 for the gun, used and $200 in higher quality aftermarket parts) I figure it'd be worth at least $600 if I sold it, this guys G30sf is probably worth $475 used so we'd be $125 apart. His add says he wants to trade but I'm afraid to offer my gun to him in trade because I'd need extra cash from him and he probably thinks his gun is gold and my gun is a turd and would want a straight across deal which I can't and won't do. I'd still need to get a $110 Lone Wolf barrel for the G30sf so I can shoot my lead handloads through it. SO, I don't even bother e-mailing the guy to see if he'd be interested in a trade.

I don't need to see it in person necessarily. Especially if it is advertised new in box. As far as the source, I don't have an issue buying from an individual I don't "know." The only people I "know" are friends and family.
