M & p 22

I bought a Smith & Wesson (made by Walther) M & P 22 on Wednesday. I have only put 30 rounds down range so far. I am impressed with this handgun so far.

I have to say that they did a nice job with this gun.
IMHO it is better then the GSG1911!
Also the fact that it is suppressor ready is nice.

I love my M&P 22. The thing is so fun and cheap to shoot. It is a great warmup gun, especially if you own other M&P's.

Is there a way to remove the thumb safety? I have three M&Ps already and would have this gun except for the silly unnecessary thumb safety. Also, I saw that the barrel was threaded but does not protrude out of the slide. How does that work?

Thanks for the help in advance.

You need a Walther P22 thread adapter that will replace the sleeve that screws on and protects the thread on the barrel itself.

Like this here http://www.tacticalinc.com/walther-t...ctor-p-74.html although you can find them all over the internet for different prices.

I know you can remove the thumb safety off the M&P models but not sure of the .22 version. I cant recall correctly but I think I saw something on the S&W or M&P site about this when these guns first cam out
