Sig Sauer Scorpion 1911 *RANGE REPORT*

I finally took my Sig Sauer Scorpion 1911 to the range today and put 100 rounds through it. I had 7 failure to feeds and upon further inspection I saw that the rim of the shell got caught on the extractor. Has this happened to any of you guys with Sigs before? The first jam occurred on the last round and the other jams happened when inserting a full mag and pressing the slide stop or doing the sling shot method. Other than that the gun feels & shoots great! I'm going to put about 500 rounds through it and if the problem still occurs then I will call Sig Sauer.

I had 2 separate jams involving the last round in the mag not fully feeding. I wonder if it's the same issue you are having?

I'm shooting the fastback nightmare.

I have read online from other owners that the Sig 1911 causes these problems. Try again with a different mag before sending in.

This is a really weak "range report". This should be filed under "Gripes" or "Why is my gun messed up?"

Have you checked or do you know how to check extractor tension? Sounds a bit tight.

Make sure you pick up some QUALITY mags. Wilson, CMC, Tripp etc.

No, I do not know how to check the extractor tension. How do I check it?

No, but I did inspect both magazines when I picked it up. I didn't notice any kind of goop.

My C3 functions flawlessly with the Sig factory mags, but I get 2-3 FTF's with each of my 8 round Wilson 47D mags.
