New glock 30sf

WELL I WENT AHEAD AND PULLED THE TRIGGER ON THE GLOCK 30SF. ORDERED IT THURSDAY OUT OF MINNESOTA AND HAD IT HERE IN KANSAS YESTERDAY AND THE FIANCE PICKED IT UP FOR ME AND WAS HERE WAITING WHEN I GOT HOME FROM WORK. I CHECKED AND IT DOES HAVE THE OLD TRIGGER BAR. HOPEFULLY THAT WON'T BE A BIG DEAL FOR ME. I MIGHT TRY AND CALL GLOCK AFTER THE HOLIDAY AND SEE IF THEY ARE WILLING TO REPLACE IT SINCE IT HAD A BORN ON DATE OF 2/1/12. I AM LOOKING TO REPLACE THE GUIDE ROD WITH A STAINLESS STEEL VERSION. ANY ADVICE ON WHICH ONE TO GET? AND EXPECTED PRICE TO PAY. ALSO WOULD LIKE TO GET THE GRIP EXTENSIONS FOR THE MAGS. ANY HELP IN WHERE TO GET THOSE AND EXPECTED PRICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT INFO ON HERE.

Congratulations on the G30SF, and Welcome to GT.

One request. . . . . Please turn off the "ALL CAPS"!!!
All caps are harder to read (especially if you have old eyes) and all caps denotes YELLING!!!!!!

Again, Welcome to GT.

Howdy.
Why replacement of the trigger bar so soon? You don't indicate having shot it, therefor having any performance issues.

My advice is to leave your new G30SF alone. It seems like your already anticipating failures. I have over 4000 rounds on mine without a failure of any kind, all original parts. Go and enjoy your new Glock and don't feed it cheap ammo. Use a good quality ammo when evaluating any new pistol. In this case a 230gr fmj and stay away from Federal Champion, Tula or Wolf. I also recommend staying with the original RSA.
Congrats on an excellent choice.

I have one that was manufactured in 2008 and haven't had any problems with it. I can't understand why you would need to modify it without getting familiar with it first.

Enjoy your G30. I agree with the shoot it first idea before you replace anything.

I have a 30sf close to the same born date that i have only been shooting for 2 months. I have over 2500 rounds through it with not one single problem, I love it.

The only thing I have changed ( after I had a 1000 rounds through it ) was to put in a 3.5# trigger bar.

Besides some night sights the only other thing I would like to change is the ejection of the brass. Mine does tend to throw it everywhere. I do seem to have a poor grasp of the shell by the ejector. I will do some polishing and see where that gets me.

I am pretty sure glock says the gun is not even "broken in" until you get 400 rounds through it, whatever that means, shoot and enjoy.
