Can't beat this price if you're wanting to try out the .38 Super round. If I didn't already have one in that caliber, I'd definately be buying one of these.

Yes they are, even though they come with cast frames they are built within spec, have excellent customer service, and there are a lot of satisfied customer. At that price I'm tempted to purchase one myself.

I just talked with SWMBO (she likes shiny/silver guns). I figure 5 extra mags so I can have my minimum 3 "up", 3 "down" , and it is doable. Unfortunately it's Saturday so I will go in and bug my LGS tomorrow and confirmation bug them Monday.

IIRC (I have messed with a LOT of 1911's in .45 but never the "lesser" cals) but I seem to think that dropping a 9mm barrel in one isn't exactly building the Space shuttle. .38 super mags migh even work

I've had 3 of them with no issues, other than a loose front sight on the 5" Tactical and after a call to Arnel, their head gunsmith, they paid for shipping both ways, as well as ran through it and checked and adjusted everything in it. Great guns for the money. And this matte nickel .38 Super is an extraordinary deal.

If you're going to carry a nickel plated M1911 then make sure that it's the mirror polished one. Pimpin' ain't easy.

Mine got to the LGS today. $328 delivered. Should be less than $360 out the door with the transfer and background check. If I don't like .38 Super I should be able to get most of my money back.

Too bad it will be a couple weeks before I get home to pick it up.

My LGS is having problem finding a .38 Super polished nickel plated RIA for me right now.

BTW, if you don't like the .38 Super round then...
