Video of World War II 1911-A1 Replica
One word: OUCH!!!!
Here's a video on my Springfield Armory 1911-A1, Mil Spec, great to have a replica of the World War II warhorse, but I can definitely do without the hammer bite.

I do have to work on all that, but the problem that day was I getting hammer bite so bad I could hardly concentrate on what I was doing.

I never get hammer bite, thankfully.
Even the notorious Browning Hi-Power doesn't bite my hand.

I never did either. My first couple of 1911s had the old style drop tang grip safety and spur hammere.
