The "Glock" of Scopes

I searched but did not find anything on this subject. Does anyone have a recommendation for a dependable, well-built, reliable when adjusted from low yardage to high yardage scope? I will be putting it on a new 10/22 Target model and mostly shooting paper for fun.
Also, what power do you recommend?
What is the down side of going with a high power scope - too wobbly?

Nikon Prostaff 2-7x32. Or look at the Nikon Buckmasters series.

I just got a Nikon 2-7X32 Prostaff last week. Mounted on my Savage Axis .223 used for close-medium engagements/varmints 25-100 yards.

Finally sighted her in yesterday and put 2 shots in one hole at 75 yards. (Kneeling on a windy day and I had just got done running back from the 75 yrd target.)

At first I thought the scope was screwed because the shot wasn't even on the paper...then, angrily, I took the target back to my jeep thinking "This was a waste of $140, just my luck." Then I noticed the hole looked different than the holes in the other target. When I looked at the back it was a little more obvious that two rounds had struck within .05 inches of each other. (Yes, I did some bragging)

Quality of the scope seems excellent, and the zero is holding good. I would recommend.
