First you have to get elected. Then and only then can you do anything or be forces to do anything about illegal aliens. Until then, getting elected is the number one concern. There are not enough pure-blood conservatives to win an election. Romney has to attract those in the middle. Like it or not, that's just the way it is. If republicans and conservatives are smart, they will use a little common sense rather than getting their feelings hurt at Romney not playing to the choir on this issue. Romney has to win in Nov. if republicans and conservatives are to have any hope at all of making any progress in reigning in illegal aliens. If the squatter gets back to the white house, no one will be able to stop him from opening the flood gates.
