Vermont Gun Laws

It doesn't appear that this is a often read area, but here it goes...

Anyone know where I can find information about Vermont Gun laws? I've heard that there aren't many, but I'm going to be working there and I want to know about what the requirements for Concealed Carry are. I have a CWP for here in Maine, but I ave NO clue about what is required for VT...

Thanks.

Check with local authorities first, but IIRC, Vermont is the one state that does NOT require any type of permit to CC.

Cyrsequipment,

Two gun law sites for you to visit:
http://www.nraila.org/statelawpdfs/VTSL.pdf is the NRA site listing all gun laws by state in pdf format and

this forum http://www.usacarry.com/ just click on the state you need gun information on. This site also has CCW reciprocity laws for travel.

Good luck on your move.
Regards

Unless you are a convicted felon or convicted of certain domestic violence crimes you are free to CCW in VT. But not is schools, court houses, police stations, and a few others.

Vermont seems to have the sanest gun laws in the country. Funny that there aren't all kinds of horrific stories coming from the Green Mountain State.

Now that I'm disabled I want badly to return to Northern New England to be near my family. Vermont is by far the most attractive.
