longslide build

Besides the 6" barrel what else do I need that is not 1911A1 spec??

Well, the long slide itself, of course.
Most longslides have long limber recoil springs, available from Wolff in generic sizes, clip to length.
I think it was the Hardballer that had a long solid plug so it could use a standard spring.

What length do you usually cut the spring down to?
