Gun group takes 'junk' guns to Chicago for trade-in

Gun group takes 'junk' guns to Chicago for trade-in

Quote:
Police said the group is taking advantage of a program intended to take firearms off the street. Members of Guns Save Life, in Champaign County, countered that they are putting the money to good use - to purchase ammunition and firearms for a youth program that teaches gun safety and marksmanship. I admit, that after Katrina, when we had piles of rusted up, non-functional guns, that we didn't know what to do with (couldn't forfeit them, couldn't read the serial numbers to find the owners), that people had turned it, it was tempting to take them to one of the gun buy-backs and sell them.

In San Antinio took an old H&R single shot 20 gauge that didn't work once, and took the family to Disney on Ice with the tickets I got for it.
