Sig 522 "One of two thousand"

Hello I have been trying to research this and haven't had any luck. My local gun shop has a new 522 Classic and I noticed in white block lettering on the side it says " one of two thousand" the owner of the gun shop wasn't able to tell me he wasn't sure. Could any of you guys tell me what this means? I am assuming it is some kind of limited edition or something, but there is no way they only made two thousand of these things. I have seen a few of these around and haven't seen that on any of the others.
