I have a stock question....
Hey guys...I have been using the Evil Black Rifle for over 20 years as a LEO and now as a happily retired civilian.
I thought I had seen pretty much everything on, or for an AR....BUT...(there's ALWAYS a "but").
I am looking for an A2 style fixed stock that will be removeable and simply lock on OVER the buffer tube of my M4, so I can swap them out at will without replac ing the buffer tube.
Now, I know there are a metric pantload of AR accessories and sights out there...and I think I have searched 99% of them (he he...that's almost half)...with no luck.
I was curious if any of you have run across one, and could send me in the right direction.
One would think that it is something someone somewhere would have come up with.
Yes...I can swap out buffer tubes...etc...but...I'd like to have the option.
I am going to CT to visit an old friend and I am taking one of my AR's....(yes my CCW covers me under HR218 LEOSA) but CT doesn't like adjustable stocks on EBR's...so I thought this might be an option.
Thanks in advance!

No such animal, at least in my experience. Plus, I doubt such a thing would be legal in states that require fixed stocks.

I don’t know anyone that makes what you are describing, sorry.
You could look around for a cheap collapsible and pin it like people used to do during the Clinton ban. Or, just swap receiver extensions (buffer tube).

Does not exist as far as I am aware, and i've seen basically everything at some point.
Not saying it doesn't, but i've never seen it, and the market for it would be microscopic.
You might want to keep a spare lower with a fixed Sully stock (which is the length of a collapsible one click open) for your visits to the Communist Republics.

I normally have a completed lower around...but I used it to build a rifle for a friend, and haven't purchased anymore...UGH.
Looks like that's the way I am going to go.

Money isn't the motivating issue...it's convenience. I am by no means rich...don't take it that way...but it's something I'd pay a reasonable amount for.
Think of something that would slide over the buffer tube, and have a detent lock, or even a tension screw that would mate up with the stock positions on the tube on the bottom of the stock. So, in all outward appearance, it would resemble a standard fixed stock. Press/pull...OFF/ON. How great would that be?
It would save all the rigamarole of swapping out lowers or changing buffer tubes on ANY of your M4's provided it was commercial or mil spec.
Then again...this gives me an excuse to go ahead and build a fixed stock carbine. Drat, and darn the luck...an excuse to do a project.
