I've had it explained to me by the GT knowitalls that cell phone use is no more distracting than reading the WSJ, so therefore it's OK.

I ignore my cell phone when I'd driving. That's why I have VM and texting.

The statistics on truck drivers are startling as are those for teenagers. I do not understand why talking on the phone would be distracting while driving, but apparently it is distracting. From the information provided, it look like no one should do texting/calling while driving regardless of their age.
