Mas: Your Opinion of Remington Golden Sabers in 9mm and .45ACP

Mas,

I've tried to go through all your posts where you responded regarding preferred SD/HD ammo. My local LEO/first responder gun store only currently carries Remington Golden Sabers in 9mm (115gr) and .45ACP (230gr) and both are non+P. The pricing is really good for 50 rounds per box and I wanted your advice and input on these as every day carry rounds and if you had any historical data with them. I'd be using them in a Glock 19, Sig P226, and Glock 30SF.

I'm also looking at Speer Gold Dots 9mm (124gr+P) and .45ACP (230gr), as well as Federal Hydra Shocks.

The Remington's caught my eye because of the LEO/first responder pricing.

Thanks in advance for your insight.

The 124 grain +P Gold Dots in 9mm have earned a great reputation in departments that have lots of shootings, and many agencies swear by the 230 grain Gold Dot .45 ACP. FBI tells me they're very happy with the 230 grain .45 ACP Remington Golden Saber. I wasn't even aware that Remington was making the Golden Saber in 115 grain 9mm format.

Hoping that's of help,
Mas

When I called the shop they said they were 115gr. Now you have me guessing and wondering if they told me 115gr when they meant 124+P. I'll gave to check. Thanks Mas.
