Cedar Point CCW

I googled and only found data from 06-08.

Do they allow it? I doubt it I know but can I leave it in the vehicle?

Also, do they have metal detectors in the entrances?

Any infO would be appreciated. Thanks.

Don't know, but I love Cedar Point. Used to go there most every summer in the 60's and 70's when I was a kid.

Unfortunately, no they don't allow it. They wand everyone at the entrances and check through bags and such. Here's a thread on OFCC discussing it:

Btw, iirc they also have their own police dept. who are fully sworn peace officers.

I love cedar point and just leave my gun in the car.

I was just at Cedar Point in Sandusky this past May. When I was there, I can't remember seeing "no ccw" signs, but I'm sure it was off limits. We did not pass through any metal detectors and never got wanded, nor did I see anyone with them. I don't think I saw any bag searches either. I left my CCW G19 in the car without any problems.

Leaving a gun in your car?

Man, that is asking for it. YMMV

FWIW, 6 Flags parks prohibit CCW, and *do* have metal detectors at all the entrances.

I haven't been to Cedar Point in a lot of years, though.
