Wish I could. I usually stay in Lansdale at my brother's house, but I'm running a GSSF indoor match in Roanoke this Sunday.

Sorry we won't see you there, Danny, and we missed you at Beckley. From what I understand, we were driving out as you were heading in.

Had I not been held up for 15 minutes on I-81, we would have seen each other at the range. That's life.

Ann,
If you go, walk to the back of the chocolate shop
and you can say, you have seen a ten foot tall chocolate grandfather clock.

I will be there Saturday Afternoon, hope to see you all there. Shooting Steel Challenge in Emmaus PA on Sat. morning, traveling to Topton in the afternoon for GSSF, heading home to CT, and then shooting Walls of Steel in RI on Sunday....life is good.
Now I have an interesting question....If I think I made master but the results have not been finalized, can I shoot civilian again? Not that I want to sandbag ,but just curious.

Jason, if you haven't received a letter saying you are now a Master, well...?
On the other hand, it would be awful if you entered Am. Civ. and then had your scores voided because you were a Master.
If I were in that predicament, I think I would send them an email just to be on the safe side.
(I'll hold off on the 'congratulations' until it's official.)

Jason, it looks like your Fulton scores will hold up, making you a Master. I suggest you register as a Master for Topton.

Ugh! Just checked the Topton weather forecast. It looks like they're calling for a 40% chance of thunderstorms right through until 5:00pm on Saturday. Sunday looks to be the better day so far.

It seems that GSSF scoring software has some complex algorithm and normally bumps you to Master right in the middle of a match if it occurs - though it won't be officially noticed until the finals are posted. Rest assured, the GSSF software is lurking in the background, ready to pounce. Assuming it does bump you mid-match, that could affect your awards for other Divisions.
My reasoning behind this mid-match promotion is that I won 5 firsts in Reevesville and won 2 guns as Amateur and one as Master (and nothing at all for one of the firsts and $100 for the other). One of the gun wins had to be as Master because I had already had a previous gun win as Amateur and could only win 2 more as an Amateur before being promoted - but could win 2 Amateurs and a Master gun for the 3-gun overall match limit. This entire event had some complex scoring as 2 others made Master that weekend.

But I won a pistol in Guardian, and a pistol in Master Stock - but that Master Stock win must have been as a Master because my 2 amateur gun wins were Guardian and SubCompact and those 2 wins would have been my 3 total gun wins for promotion.
