New Savage, Question on adding rail

Hey guys, I've been drawn into the rim fire world more and more in the last few years, and am now a full blown addict.

I just acquired a savage model 93r17, thumb hole stock, heavy barrel, stainless steel.

It comes with two one inch long picatinny rail bits attached to the top. I picked up a BSA 3x9x40 sweet .17 scope with the rifle, and a set of redmark rings as well. Well, the scope needs to be moved back about 2 inches for me to be fully relaxed and comfortable shooting the rifle. Basically, I'm looking for a one piece stainless picatinny rail with a cut out for the ejection port. It should extend back 2-3 inches further than the current rear rail piece.

I am going to invest in some good glass in the future, but for now, I'm just learning my way around my first serious scope, and am trying to get it comfortable to do some real bench rest shooting. Anyone know where to pick up something like this? Recommendations?

Try the savage thread over on rimfirecentral.com they have alot of links to parts. I have the 22mag model.

I'd like to suggest that you look into the Simmons reddot sight. It is 3MOA at 100 yards and will mount with standard 1" rings. I have two of them, a blued one and one in stainless steel. They work geat and will last a long time
