I just bought a Gen 2 G21 in nice shape. XAxxx serial #. October 1991. All black internals. Nothing changed. Has 2 u-shaped NDF mags.
It looks nice with my Gen. 1 G17's.

My wife bought me a Gen 2 G21 with a serial prefix very close to yours. It sounds like you are keeping this original for collection purposes, and for that I congratulate you. However, be advised that there is an "upgrade" (recall) on the pick-up rail shaping on this era of G21. Since mine was purchased as a duty weapon, I had all upgrades done to mine. When I get to work (where my Armorer's manuals are), I'll look to see precisely what prefixes were effected by the recall.

Also got a very nice early Gen. 2 G19, APDxxx, box, 2 original mags, but no paperwork.
I still carry and shoot the original Gen 1 G17 that I bought in 1987. No upgrades. I have replaced the RCS several times and other springs but everything else is as Glock built it. No issues at all. The armorers at the Glock match want to upgrade it but I won't let them. They want to replace the frames on my other Gen 1's also. Ain't gonna happen!!!!!
I shoot all of the Glocks I have. I prefer the Gen 1's but do shoot the other Gen's.
