Milestone for P229! 6,000+ rounds!

After going almost snowblind and having a bad case of cabin fever, It feels like Spring has arrived - and I took advantage of the day!
Took the tried and true Sig P229 out and blew the dust off. Put 150 rounds thru it today - the 84th,85th,and 86th load through this pistol. Today I shot a box each of:
Middle Creek Shooting Supply - 124g - FN (RL)
Miwall - 124g - TMJ (RL)
Parabellum Research - 147g - FMJ (value line)(RL)

TOP GUNS *357 Sig* Club

Had one minor hiccup with the Miwall - on one magazine, after the last round fired, the slide locked back but the round did not completely exit the gun(??). It was out of the chamber... and when I dropped the mag, it fell out through the receiver. Other than that, it was flawless.

This marks over 6,000 rounds of 357Sig thru this pistol ending today at 6,110 (also have a few rounds of 40S&W thru it).

In my best Hickok45 voice - "Life is Good!"

Thank you sir!! I love that new (to you) 226 you got! Gorgeous! Let us know how she shoots. I replaced the recoil spring in my 229 with a Wolff spring at around 5500 rounds.

I've put about the same number of rounds through my P229, 9mm.
Of all those rounds, only one jam and that was due to a damaged case of a factory reload round.

cool thanks...

...the P226 SCT seems a bit sharper in recoil that the GLOCK 23 wanna be G32 I have (surprising to me) but is accurate when I do my part...I noticed that the OE plastic stocks were redesigned from earlier 9mm SiGs I have owned too...there is a ridged area that at first I thought I'd like but I found my thumb knuckle lays right on it...I may have to try some Hogue G-10s on it...
