I used to wear the top 2 inches or so of a cut-off tube sock around my wrist, over my watch. Not tacticool but it worked great.

They still make them, one assembly w/ the band as a wide strap.

Seems to me the Velcro being pulled open would be no good either sound wise? :(

Re: Seals. I have a Luminox watch and while bright, it isn't too visible past a coupe of yards on an ordinary night.

If they can see your tiny little dim green luminox watch... they can see you long before. Your cover has already been blown.

I hope if I ever had that amount of income I'd spend it in a more socially responsible manner than whores, houses and horology.

I buy Glock handguns and $20 unbranded watches. Not a jewelery person here. My DROID, which cost more than $20 keeps pretty good time too.

Of course. But there will always be something that watch enthusiasts appreciate and it is far more that simply telling "the time."

That said, I prefer a very rugged timepiece as opposed to expensive, accurate, or anything else.

My 'best' watch cost only $350 while the majority were $100 or less.

Watch geeks are watch geeks; just a hobby like anything else.

This thread has no less value (and likely much more) than the next moron stating (for the um-teenth time), "My new Gen 4 Model 19 puts brass in my face."

Get over it. I've been shooting 'Southpaw' for 37+ years and it's commonly called...ADAPTING.

Whores, carpenters, plumbers, electricians and watchmakers don't need to earn a living?
