The Walking Dead - Season 3

OK, I think I am getting a little over the board but why do they portrait human to be that stupid?

I can't even finish the first episode of Season 3. I mean, really?

Spoiler alert!

At the prison, someone seemed to grow some brain and learn how to use distraction to get into the cell but right after a bunch of them started to wonder in the dark (not sure why so dark) facility without any coordination and planning???!!! You can guess the rest.

I turned it off at that point.

They are tired, they are desperate for shelter and supplies, they have direction from the director and producer to up the drama level, they gotta do what they gotta do.

It's TV, man. If the characters did sensible, smart, reasonable and tactically sound things the series would be over in about three episodes. Getting annoyed at the screwups on The Walking Dead is like getting worked up about the castaways on Gilligan's Island never just building a freaking boat.

Being sensible, smart, reasonable and tactically sound can still be very entertaining. The good and the evil trying to out-smart each other is very entertaining.

Being stupid is NOT entertaining at all.

You are why most TV is weak.

Look up 'suspension of disbelief' and you will understand how it all comes together.

As long as it sells to the mass market, they could care less what a few people think as far as plot development or sticking to realism.

Appeal to the mass market sells merch and commercial time. Money is money. Less effort for same money is more effort available for other endeavours.

Hell, I am still trying to figure out why they didn't stay outside the fence killing as many as they could through it instead of sending in Rick and wasting a lot of ammo when they're short on it.

Then I remembered that at least they started using home made supressors and the zombies are fun to watch die.

It's TV. If any of us had to do it, we'd do it much differently but it wouldn't be much to watch.

Why bother with firearm? Those zombies can be killed with an icepick.

I really have trouble to determine who is the real zombie.

The real zombies are the ones sitting there glued to the TV screens week after week while they collect welfare and vote for Democrats.

Are you kidding? We all now know that Gilligan and friends were the original cast members of Lost and the island wouldn't let them leave.

Unfortunately, for a lot of people it is. Cases in point - The Simple Life, Roseanne, GCB, and almost every movie with Will Ferrell in it (although I confess I did like "Elf"; but it's rare for me to not like a christmas movie).

There are thousands of other examples of "stupid gets put on the air" I'm sure, but I honestly don't watch broadcast tv much anymore. When I do watch tv, it's almost always something I picked from netflix.

You don't watch reality TV at all, I take it.
