"Retiring" Tomorrow!
Putting in my papers tomorrow after 28 years with current PD. 32 years total...and gonna be a Dispatcher with the local Sheriff's Office where I live just 10 minutes away. Going from a high stress liberal urban environment in charge of a crime scene unit to a nice rural area with way less hassles...and not in charge of squat  Used to run fire and rescue so that part of it will be not too hard to learn. Separate retirements too..City to State. Looking forward to it!

Good luck with the 'hen house' that dispatch usually is. Some of the women can be vindictive as all get out.

Thanks Dragoon 44. You Sir are a true sage and wise man by the way...love your input. As for the hen house concerns...I am an old fart who has seen much...I will simply give any hen the silent treatment or tell them I refuse to join their drama club. It is really pretty drama free there from what some friends told me. Just 2 people on at once. We're talking small and low key as a rule.
