Anyone else require excessive left windage with Magpul flip-up rear sight?
Ok, I've now tried two different uppers (M&P carbine and PSA mid-length) and both require the rear Magpul sight to be moved over more than half way to the left. Originally I figured my M&P FSB was canted but now I'm not sure so sure. I don't have another rear sight to try.
Not a huge deal and I zeroed my new PSA upper just fine but I am a bit OCD.

Its probable the front sight base is slightly canted. Typical PSA bs.

He's having the same issue on two different uppers.
OP, sounds like the mating surface on the sight itself might be out of spec(assuming this is the same sight on both guns). Try a different rear sight of some kind and see if the problem carries over. I'm sure a local gun shop or range will have one you can try for a few minutes.
If it is the sight, I have no doubt that Magpul will make it right.

Then that would also include typical S&W bs then, wouldn't it?

OP, it happens, tolerance stacking between the FSB, the upper receiver, and the BUIS.
example of one of mine, It's not bad, probably looks worse with a MBUS since they are relatively "thick", so I think it makes it look worse than it really is.

Experiencing the same thing with mine. Doesn't bother me too much, it's sighted in and I'll probably never adjust it again so no worries.

I have a Troy battle sight that needed 27 clicks to the left on a BCM mid length. It happens.

Seen a guy with a factory new M16A2 require nearly a complete all the way right adjustment to zero.
Wasn't the gun, it was him. Because we mechanically zeroed the gun and I was 3 clicks left, another guy was about four clicks right.
Strange things happen.
Call MagPul.

My magpul buis requires quite a bit of left windage also...I always just attributed it to tolerance stacking and that it was just how my gun was.

Mine is about the same between multiple rifles using the MBUS or carry handle. It might just be the way you zero your rifle to you.

My PSA upper with Magpul BUS is set at dead center. Guess just depends on the rifle as I've read many stories about having to adjust the sight far to the left to get it sighted in.

It is not an issue. Just sight it in and shoot it.
