Who makes a good AR-10?
Thought about buying one lately. I own a bushy AR-15 and love it, but would like to have a .308 rifle. Looked at the M1A's, FAL's but they feel heavy and not many options like with the AR platform.
So could y'all chime in and give me some input on the AR-10? I like the RRA, and bushmaster so far that I've handled. Seem like well made weapons.
Thanks!

If you can afford the $'s, check out Lewis Machine and Tool. I just got one of their "slick" 308's, and couldn't be more impressed with the fit and finish. Here's a link to a great article about it.

Depends on budget. If money is no object, and you can get one (wait times are currently astronomical), then LaRue is probably the best option out there. LMT would be my second choice, followed by KAC.
If you are on a limited budget, then DPMS, Bushmaster, and Armalite are probably your only options.

I contacted my Senators and Representative to voice my opposition to a new "assault weapon" ban. Did you?

No doubt the LaRue is a great weapon, but the LMT has some major benefits. Easily interchangeable barrels, free floated barrels, a patented system whereas accuracy is unaffected by barrel heat, ambi controls, plus more.

Got my 16" Bushy Moe straightened out but a LMT 18" is the way to go. Plan on a long wait now. 308 is heavy in a AR platform also. Like my M1A better but it's apples and oranges anyhoo.

I have several POF piston AR15s and AR10s including a new AR10 14.5" with perm attached FH. First trip to the range 1/2" groups at 100 yds with 168gr match ammo!! Lightweight and accurate!! Spendy, but worth every dime!!

I'd build on a Mega Ma-Ten. Otherwise Larue is the way to go.
