Voting by SS#
I had the idea that with the modern computer systems we could take the IRS database and create a system to allow you to log in with your Social Security Number and vote. Everyone who is legal to vote has a SS#. The IRS knows who's dead and who's alive so it would stop that voter fraud. You have to have a SS# to get welfare so no one can say it is a hardship on the voter.
I am sure there are flaws that I just haven't thought of so let us discuss this and see where it goes.

I've heard too many stories about SS checks still being issued to the dead to believe the IRS knows who's alive or not.
Also identity thieves harvest hundreds or thousands of SS numbers, it would be one more use for the stolen info.
I think photo ID is the most reasonable. Here in Va they mail you a new registration card every election cycle which you present when you vote.

I'd rather have voter fraud than vest an ounce more authority in the scum sucking IRS.
Not to mention it has been used numerous times in the past to settle political scores.

You should go to your nearest SSN office and have them do a run check on you SSN# you will be appalled to know how many names will pop up under that number. When I did mine 8 years ago, there were six names attached to my SS#.

In Florida I have to show my voter ID & a government issued photo {DL or CCW or state issued ID } to vote. They won't let me vote without proving who I am.

My wife's SS# was stolen, The IRS notified us and we have notified the SS administration. The government will do nothing about it. If you want to know why, Goggle how much the IRS takes in each year from illegals who do not file their taxes because they are using a false SS#. I know of more than one area I could go to in Los Angeles if I wanted a fake SS card.
SS#'s are not a good way to prove citizenship.

I don't care what you have to do to vote, as long as it's free. Otherwise, it violates the 24th...the shortest and clearest of all ammendments. HH

Hate to burst your bubble, but having a legally obtained Socialist Security number isn't proof of citizenship.
Any legal Alien eligible to work in the US can obtain a Social Security Number. Basically: every student on a visa, H1B work permit holder, foreign fiancee, green card holder etc in the country can legally have a Social Security#. None of these people would be eligible to vote.

SS may and SS numbers may not be used as identification: it may only be used for SS....
Oh wait our government violates their own laws regarding this issue every day. I hate our crooked government - no I will not be using my SS to vote.

Maybe we could just implant everyone with an RFID chip that carries a unique identifier.
Show up on voting day, get wanded and identified, cast your vote.

SSN doesn't equal citizenship. I remove earnings on a daily basis from illegals who work under each other's SSN. You wouldn't believe how many people are paid around the world that never set foot on US soil. I have to bite my tongue on a daily basis.

I still like the "ear method" of identifying illegal aliens. It would prevent a lot of fraud.

I'm sure there's no gummit restrictions keeping them from voting, but they tend to avoid mixing with the secular world is why I asked.

Probably decided by the community. Many will take cabs into the city and eat at McDonalds. They will also have a telephone outside of their house.

100% agree.
I prefer the Voter ID laws to out fraud. Everyone should have a state issued ID. If by chance you don't, go to the BMV/wherever with documents proving your identity, and you will be given a free state ID.
That's how it's done here in Indiana, and I think it's fair. If you can't afford an ID, it removes that roadblock by providing a free ID. Now the liberals complain that the elderly, poor, etc.. can't get to a license branch. How do they get to the grocery store to use their welfare? Probably the bus, call a friend, taxi, etc. At some point, you have to take responsibility for yourself. I know the "R" word is scary to liberals, but it is what it is.

PA is spending hundreds of thousands on overturning the ID law, but I personally think it's good. I feel everyone should have a picture form of id on them.
