I hate to jump on the buy it while you can wagon...
...but it doesn't hurt.
I just came across some Labelle USGI style 30rd AR15 mags. I picked out the ones in the best shape checking the welds, mag body, and feed lips carefully. I bought them out of the ones that passed my inspection. They also had 30rd Magpul Pmags for $13.95+tax so I picked up a few more of them.
Cleaned them up and updated all the followers with the newest Magpul no tilts.
$5 each for the mags and just under $2 each for the Magpul followers. For you non math majors thats about $7 bucks each, not bad IMO.
Deals are still out there if you are willing to shop around. BTW the gun shops were PACKED today, and the shelves emptying.
I came across a couple dozen Okay Ind's and Center Ind's three weeks ago and picked them up. I gave them the same cleaning and updated followers I did these today. I range tested them and they all fed 100%.
I hope the Labelles work out as good. I recognized the name, but have no experience with them. Was trying to research them a little when I got home and can't find much. Most of them are stamped with and early 1990's date stamp.
Anyone know if these are decent mags?

I have over $500 in magazines on the way as of this morning. Mostly Glock brand.
$7 per AR mag sounds awesome, but I already have plenty of those.
Get 'em while you still can.

I'm good on pistol mags. Mine are all single stacks or revolvers, except for my issued pistol. I'm not as concerned about 7 or 8rd single stacks mags, but you never know what could pass.
I have a dozen Sig P220 mags still in the wrapper I bought a few years ago.
Its the pure dark evil AR15 mags I was most concerned with.
Good plan thinking ahead on your part.

Yeah, I did most of my stocking up pre-2008 Obama. At least for now, they are still touting the greater than 10 round ban, so that is what I've been focusing on. This is my final wrap up before the long haul ...

Keep your receipts so you can prove to the Man that you bought them pre-ban!
Also, don't go too nuts with excessive buying. If Feinstein has her way there won't be any (legal) way to transfer mags to anyone else. I think the odds of that happening are rather low though.

No need to prove anything via receipt. Post-ban stuff would be marked accordingly to be able to distinguish the difference.

I have already been through the 1989 Bush Presidential Executive Order of not allowing the importation of foreign rifles with military features and the 1994 Clinton Assault Weapon Ban.
Both of these Laws sucked. I would rather try getting what I want now, than take a chance of not having the ability of getting it later.
Another Ban is coming at some point. It’s just a matter of time.

Is there a promo code for free freight? It's showing $13.95 for shipping and handling for me.
EDIT: Reading owns me. I see it's 'DV3'.

Also, if you're thinking about a future purchase of say a 10-22. Now would be the time to purchase some large cap mags. I assume they won't go after the 10-22 but who knows.

I've been having a helluva time finding one place that had Ruger BX-25 mags AND Pmags. I finally gave up and placed two separate orders. And was still only able to order two BX-25's due to Midway's current "two at a time" mag policy.

Too bad I sold all of mine yesterday. I thought I could at least get money for them instead of just handing them over.
I'm sharpening some sticks to keep in my nightstand.

Says who? Feinstein's proposal is going to call for a ban on any semi auto gun with a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds. No one has said anything about banning all guns. Thats paranoia talking.

Actually, I heard an interview with the mayor of New Haven, CT today. He and other elected officials are calling for confiscation of ALL semi-auto firearms. They'll probably have limited influence over what is eventually proposed, but there are some out there who won't be pleased until every firearm other than a marshmallow shooter is tossed into an incinerator.

I don't care what some loons are calling for. A confiscation isn't going to happen. If it does I'm moving to Texas. I KNOW it's not going to happen there.

I never was a huge AR15 fan until I started thinking that I might not have the option to buy one someday. I bought my first, a RRA 20" A4 a few days before the election. I like it alot more than I thought I would. Have about 1k rounds through it so far, mostly Hornady Steel case, with no problems.
I have always searched the gun shops I go in for deals on used mags. Usually I get lucky, and if not a few bucks for a new spring and follower will fix it, still for half the price of a new mag.
I looked as Norinco SKS in that appeared to be in great shape for $369 this afternoon, but the shop didn't have a head space gauge so I passed until tomorrow when I can hunt one down.
Probably gonna regret that one. Have a feeling it will be gone when I get back in there.

Holy crap, the price of those things have gone up. Back in 1990, I bought my first Chinese SKS and it was $99.00.
About 7 years ago, I bought an unissued Yugo in museum grade for $100.00.
I wish I had them to sell now.

I swore I wouldn't buy into the whole panic trap, but now my attitute is changing. Some type of ban is coming. Sure, it will be overturned next election, but still.

I don't think it will be overturned. I don't think Republicans will see the White House for some time and most likely the House will go democratic soon as well because if Republicans protect the right to own the type of weapons being discussed.

This is nuts. I mean N U T S.
