Its not even the best polymer, in my opinion, let alone the best 9mm.

Agreed. In terms of a polymer 9mm, I'd go for an XD or XDM. Well thought out overall, especially the XDm's. Don't care for the cocking serrations on the XDm's though, think they had it more right on the regular XD. Minor gripe for me personally...wish the serrations were vertical and more tightly grouped, but it's easy to get past that for how overall well made the XDm line is. Again, my opinion though.

I also much prefer the XDm over Glock.

Bustedknee,

that ammo isn't really suited for the old lady; it will bust her "knee", the toggle.

The Mauser-made P.08 is a nice pistol, mine is a byf from 1942.

But I also have a shooter-Luger

Thanks Brian. Compliments from the man are always welcome.

But I still love shooting my Glocks they just do not instill the same pride of ownership somehow, yet satisfy me at the range.

If we're talking poly, the only one I'd even think about owning is a 9mm Px4 full size or compact.

My local shop has a West German P226. Its a bit overpriced for the condition, but I love West German Sigs.

Mine is also a byf, 1942. The "Black Widow".

I haven't shot any Black Talons through my Luger. They were sitting there on the shelf when I made the photo and they just sorta crowded in. Camera hogs of the boolit world.

Since all parts are matching I certainly don't want to break anything, Why would BT's bust the toggle?
It is my understanding the Luger was designed for, and requires, full-power (NATO) ammo for proper operation.

So, I did shoot some of my "warm" self defense handloads and it functioned properly (no brass to the forehead ) and accurately. Every bang resulted in a clang.

I only fired 6 rounds. But I had to shoot it! I just HAD to.

I don't find it less accurate or less reliable than early CZ75s.

You misunderstood my post. There are certainly no flies on the Browning. It is one of my favorite handguns, and has proved itself beyond my ability to praise it. I just consider the CZ75 to be more of a combat handgun due to the enamel finish, SA/DA capability, and three more rounds on tap.
