Computer predicts election

Quote:
Back in August we told you about two Colorado University professors whose fancy computer program predicted every presidential contest winner since 1980. The secret to the research, they say, is in understanding the Electoral College; better known as the “electors” we elect to elect our president.

Of course, in 2000, the electorate played a critical role when it chose President George W. Bush while Al Gore won the popular vote.

Now the professors, Michael Berry and Kenneth Bickers, have estimated back in August that Romney would run away with the election, taking virtually every swing state. They’ve now updated their research to show (drum roll please) that the former Massachusetts governor does even better.

Yup! I think the professors, and you are correct. You can, sort of, see it happening in the news right now. The media isn't happy about any of this; but, recently, they've been forced to change their slant and tone while discussing each of the presidential candidates. Romney is now, unmistakably, coming on strong. (If the organized news media didn't make any such about-face then even more of the general public wouldn't believe a single word they say!)

I hope they're right, but it's hard for me to envision any situation where Romney will win Minnesota.

I been telling you folks that Obama's going down in flames come election day.

Romney will win in a landslide victory of historical proportions.

A landslide would be the thing that can jump start American's feel from hopelessness, that we can be proud of our country once again.

Dumb question, but what exactly does the "270 electoral votes to win" mean ? Do our votes even count ?

Thanks

I hope that you are either not a US citizen, under the age of 14, or don't vote.
