I think that's a perfect example of something that's rare because it was a stupid idea.

lol worst of both worlds...
I've been seriously thinking of doing a caspian build with an officers length grip and commander length slide but that's just silly...

Gosh I remember those and I missed them when they first showed up. I think I am going to have to make sure I don't buy this one to make myself feel better about not buying one the first time.

For me, its simply. I don't buy any 1911 without a full length frame and a barrel shorter than 4". That leaves out the CCOs though, unfortunately.

I have a Colt lightweight officer's model that I put a combat commander slide and barrel on. It shoots very well.
