Volquartsen makes a very nice rifle in .22 Magnum... but they are pricey.

Remington's 597M is also a semi-auto .22 Magnum and priced well under $500

Ruger made a 10/22 in Magnum. I believe they had some issues with it. I shot one my friend had he never had any issues but traded for the Ruger Bolt action stainless 22 mag

They did indeed, mine has been trouble free. I didn't like the carbine style stock... so it got a new one.

Marlin 922M. I do not believe they still made, but they are out there used. Here was an online auction.

Semi-auto .22 Mags have always been problematic.

You have a Long, Thin Walled cartridge that can be fired just by striking the rim. Combine that with the fact that you also need a fairly stout recoil spring to deal with the slide/bolt.

Hence on a misfeed it is possible for the bolt/slide to actually crush and detonate the round outside of the chamber.

Last time that happened to me, my right hand required surgery to reattach some ligaments. . .
