17 or 19 for me. But that wasn't the question... Only reason why I bias toward the 19 is bc CCW purposes. If it was the wild west where we can open carry anywhere; AND the mentality was that everyone carries, most Definitely the 17.

After much thought, I picked my 2nd Gen G23.
I carried that one on duty as an LEO since 1997. It was my first Glock, It never failed to go “bang” when I squeezed the trigger. With a Lone Wolf 40/9 conversion barrel, I’ve fired thousands of 9mm rounds through it with no malfunctions. It makes a fun range gun. It conceals well for ccw use and makes a great home protection handgun.
If you guys could only keep one of your Glocks, which one would it be?
Out of those 4, I'd choose the G23.

I'd go with the 19. Technically it belongs to the wife. I'd keep her too!

Glock 20

It would have to be my G20C with a grip reduction. If I only had to keep one handgun that would be it. It can shoot .40 caliber for lower power if needed and Underwood 165 Gold Dots will take care of anything else.

My Glock 37. More specifically, one of the three that I own.

I can tell you the one Glock I would NOT keep - the Glock 36.

OK lets tally this up (as of 10/22/2012 - 10 am EST);

9mm - G17 & 17L = 11
G19 = 15
G26 = 5
G34 = 1
10mm - G20, G20C & G20SF = 7
45 AUTO - G21 & G21SF = 7
.40 - G22 = 2
G23 = 10
G27 = 2
G35 = 1
.357
G31 = 2
.45 G.A.P. - G37 = 1
G38 = 1

Buy the way... my vote is for my G19

Looks like (so far) the 9mm G19 is the Glock of choice... or is it? Your vote counts.

Wow! You have some down time don't you?

Lets look at this from another angle, if we may. Either the 20 or 21, have a formidable showing in this pole. Imagine if the fans of the largest framed glocks teamed up, and could decide that one, of the two, which they are, were acceptable for a only one scenario. The race would me much tighter with the most popular 19.

I know, I know, one could just proclaim the combo of the 19, and 23, would be the devastating winner. But, I owned both at the same time. The only time the 19 was chosen over the 23, was for occasional range time. Never for carry duty, or HD!

My Gen 4 Model 26 ... in fact; I have been shedding Glocks (and other guns) for the last few years and have arrived at the G26 as my only gun after a VERY long journey with lots of doubts about 9mm terminal performance and the accuracy of baby Glocks.

The terminal performance question was answered in the 2001 Marshall and Sarnow book on Stopping Power and the accuracy question was answered by Massad Ayoob in this spring's book from Harris Publishing called The Complete Book of Handguns (?). I am now TOTALLY confident in my choice of handguns and every time I shoot it in IDPA matches or at the range it becomes more and more like a natural extension of both shooting hands (strong and weak). In a high-stress self defense situation, I will not be trying to remember which Glock is in my hand or how it feels to shoot it or recover from recoil on follow-up shots ... which is exactly why I want just ONE gun.

I know it may sound like heresy on this forum to advocate selling Glocks, but my response is that with the extra money I can buy LOTS of my self defense ammo (Federal 9BPLE) and actually shoot it in IDPA competition on a regular basis, thus insuring myself and my loved ones that if the time every arrives when I have to shoot straight and fast for real, our odds of survival have just gone up exponentially.

This is easy

I'd keep the only Glock I own - a 3rd gen G17 But then again, I may have a G35 soon.
