Rainier Arms Select Barrel

How are these? Black Hole Weaponry makes them, and i've read some spotty things about them, but i've heard great things about Rainier Arms. The "Sub-Moa guarantee" is reassuring, but does anyone have some experience with these select barrels?

I'd go BCM, Colt, FN, Noveske or Kreiger, personally.

Edit: Or LMT or DD if you can find one as a bare barrel.

Any particular reason on those instead of the rainier arms barrels? Noveske is out of my price range

Rainier Select Barrels are G2G and represent a great value in AR15 barrels.

Since Rainier offers a sub-MOA guarantee, and Black hole weaponry makes their barrels, why don't they offer that guarantee? The only difference I can see is 3 groove vs. 5 groove for the BHW and Rainier barrels.

Proven quantity. I'll take what I KNOW works over what might or might not any day.

I'll probably end up with a FN or BCM barrel for cost purposes. This gun has taken wayyy to long to put together as it is; without saving up the extra coin to buy a nicer quality barrel that I won't likely see any actual gain from.

  1. I got a great deal on a Lothar/Walter at AIM.. Was on the wish list and I snapped it up when I got the in-stock email.

Now, if I can just find time to do the damn build!

There's not a damn thing wrong with either of those.

Get a Daniel Defense barrel from either Rainier or ADCO, top of the line and they have pinned low profile gas blocks. 3 bills and you have a primo barrel.
