EOW: Nassau County, NY PD

News is reporting an ESU officer from Nassau county has been shot and killed this morning. No names have been released yet.

Kind of like on the internet forums - People continually flip someone off who they know is obligated to not break the rules in response. Yeah, usually that type of stupidity eventually yields the rewards that are earned.

And then there are those trying so hard to be offended that they're imagining things that haven't even been said in a thread.

The officer was shot in the chest, and was not wearing a bullet proof vest. Please wear your vests whenever you are in uniform guys.

What an awful week for that dept. The shooter had no business being alive, or being on the streets.

Well I for one am sick of the need for having these events. The outpouring of love and support fills one with wonder, awe and respect, but if it's ok with everyone else we should only be burying retired LE pushing 90.
