Damn. At first I thought this was a duplicate post from last week's other NCPD cop killed.

RIP. Condolences to his family.

The officer was shot in the chest, and was not wearing a bullet proof vest. Please wear your vests whenever you are in uniform guys.

RIP Officer Lopez

A quote from their PBA President, J. Carver:

“This is the second time in a week that we’re going to be burying someone whose parents are still alive.”

What an awful week for that dept. The shooter had no business being alive, or being on the streets.

My deepest sympathies to the parents, family and friends of this officer, killed in the performance of a mostly thankless occupation.

Well I for one am sick of the need for having these events. The outpouring of love and support fills one with wonder, awe and respect, but if it's ok with everyone else we should only be burying retired LE pushing 90.
