Sig Sauer M400

I have the opportunity to obtain one of these ARs for a very good deal. Do any of you have any interactions with them. All the reviews I could find on Google and YouTube were very positive, but I would rather hear some end-user reviews.

It has a lot of features I like, but I'm trying to decide if I should jump on the deal or wait a few more months and get a more expensive one.

I have no experience with it but Sig is not known for outstanding rifles.

Unfortunately, this has been my experience, as well.

OP, what exactly do you mean by "Very good deal?" Give us an actual price.

I have to agree. Todayís SIG is not the SIG of a decade ago.

You want to know if youíre getting a good deal but donít tell us the price?

Maybe you should ask or surf the Sig forums so people with actual experience can share thier opinion.

The reason I asked here is I've found guys on a forum for a certain gun will praise it more than guys for generic firearms or a different forum.

Also the price is $800 new in box.

Okay. But specific forums have a better signal to noise ratio.

Good luck.

As for the rifle the parts are good, if you know what your looking at break it down and check it for function, and gas key staking, trigger feel.

The ones I have seen through classes have all worked very well.
Like anything else you will find a crappy build ever now and again.

If it fits your budget and you like the quality you see buy it.

On paper it looks ok. Sometimes though it's the things we can't read about such as gas port size, etc. that bites us.

$800 seems to be a decent price from what I could find. Is there a back story on this AR, a reason for the lower price?

My buddy owns a gun shop and I have been helping him with CPL classes and he offered me cash or store credit. I love guns so I took the store credit option. He's also gonna drop the price on the Sig 400 to $800 for me.

Does he have any other black rifles that he will deal with you on?

Daniel Defense DDM4 V5 for $1300 but saving for that will add significant time to the wait and I won't have as much funds left for an optic and mags/ammo

This is a much better option IMO.

I agree the DD is much better and even worth the extra $500.

OP, does your friend have any Colt 6920's? Both the M400 and 6920 retail for roughly the same amount. An $800 6920 would be nuts.

Let's separate SIG America from SIG Europe. SIG America = the suck.

What are you going to use it for? The DD is a much better rifle, I have two and love them. If you are going to be going into harms way save you money for the better rifle. If you are going to be punching holes in paper at the range the Sig will serve you well.

Just go for the DD and hold off on optics still you have the extra money to do it right. The Sigs are going for sub 800 on slick guns. Your getting more rifle with DD and the iron sights on it are good.
