You do realize that he was utilizing sarcasm to make the point that the purpose of said UN coalition is to monitor elections in third world countries where elections are easily stolen, right? He wasnt saying we are a third world country.

UN monitoring is not new. Remember, the leftist flakes pulled this stunt in 2004 after GW Bush "stole" the election in 2000.
It's just another way the UN slaps us in the face. Maybe we should increase their funding......

Well we agree that some Americans are idiots. I believe as someone else said that is was sarcasm.
Do you see UN monitors in other superpower nations? What is their purpose? The UN should have been kicked to the curb a long time ago. Think of the money we could have saved, surely enough to fund more Solyndras.

So we're going to argue about weather or not we are a 3rd world nation when the subject was about the UN monitoring our polls. This is why nothing gets accomplished in this country. SMH

We would be further along in the transition if it wasn't for Bush slowing down the "Hope and Change" for third world status. In his second term he will have more leeway.....

Everybody who claims it's so bad, should outside of the county state, city and maybe visit Haiti, Any where in Africa outside of S.Africa or Philipines and then get back to us as to what 3rd world really is.
