Colt SP1 upper came

I have been working on making this build happen for a while now. I really like slab side retro AR15/M16's, they are just slick looking to me. I snagged this 20" Colt complete upper on gunbroker last week. With checking all the forgings it should put it around a 1970-1973. The BCG and bore are in good shape besides normal wear. I already have all the A1 furniture for it, I am just waiting on my Nodak Spud slab side 601 lower. I will post pics of the completed project when it is done. Should only be couple weeks now.

Cool. You going to replace the A2 FH with a three prong A1?

Probably. I bought one a while ago. Both would actually be period correct for a civilian model.

I have thought about that a little myself. Who knows someone probably turned it in for 2 tickets to see a AAA baseball team.
