Picked up a Remmy R1 in two tone stainless slide/black frame yesterday. Only got to run a 100 rds through it (JHP and MC). No issues, but that's just a 100 rds.

Question: The black frame does not seem to be blued, but more like Cerakote or Duracoat.

Does anybody have any real knowledge of what the black finish really is? No matter as I like the gun, just curious. I have a rifle done in Duracoat and it's a great finish.

I had a Para GI Expert that had the Duracoat finish and it came off just by looking at it.

I FOUND OUT WHAT IT'S CALLED. BLACK OXIDE. NEVER HEARD OF IT. NOW TO LEARN HOW TO POST PICS.

Compared to my SR1911, it's just as accurate, but not near as tight. Thanks in advance.
