I haven't heard anything about a Ruger Commander, but if they release one, especially without contrasting controls , then, I would probably buy one.

They need to keep up with their current model first.

I had seen 2 at my LGS back on Christmas Eve. Second time I had seen one in person! I think they were priced at $700.00.

It will either be a blue SR1911 or a stainless Commander, IMO.

i sure hope they have some sort of black finish if they do decide to release a commander sr1911. at first i liked the stainless but over time I realized it makes the 1911 (and most semi-autos in my opinion) look cheap. The only things I have that are stainless are my wheel guns.

the contrasting controls (and goofy hammer/grip safety & flat MSH) were only an issue for me for about an hour and a 1/2

How about a Ruger SUB2000. To stay with the take a Kel Tec design and make it better concept.

After playing with an SR1911 extensively, I think it's fair to say I'd sell my first born for a commander sized version.

I'm hoping for a full size with accessory rail. From the raw casts I've seen, it seems like this would be the easiest new model to offer. I know many don't like them, but I see it as giving me options.

I would settle for an ambi safety. I shoot backwards.

I wouldn't expect much, at least for the next few months. They are so far behind with meeting current demand, it would seem a bit strange if anything completely new appears soon.
They have indicated an SR45 was in the works. I also wonder if they are finished with new revolver intros.

They would have to call it a Ruger LFC (Light Folding Carbine) as not to completely ripoff Kel-tec.
