M&P15-22 owners:Sight Mods?
Just curious as to how you've modified your M&P15-22 in regards to sights. Scope, laser, new sights. Just looking for suggestions.

Haven't bought one yet, but I can't keep anything stock. Pros and Cons?

Get hands on before doing any "mods." Chances are you're needs will quickly change as you shoot it and you'll quickly end up w/ a box of useless parts. Less is more.

Mine came with MBUS and I added a Primary Arms red dot.

I've got an Aimpoint CompM on mine; it's the MOE version, so it came with the Magpul sights.
I also have a Surefire L72 laser that's quite fun in lower light. It's enjoyable to attach a suppressor and shoot quietly at steel in the dark.
The aperature that Magpul uses seems cheap. That's my only real complaint with their sights.

It's a back-yard plinker. Not something to clear rooms with on a daily basis.
That's not a flashlight. It's a Surefire L72.
It is positioned that way so I can easily press/depress the button on the XM tailcap with my left thumb while holding the magwell.
It actually works quite well, and is very comfortable.

Mine came with Magpul BUS and I moved the Eotech 511 I had to it after I bought a Eotech 553 for my primary rifle. My 15-22 has been a pleasure to shoot and has given me no trouble at all.

Thanks! I recommend picking one up with the MBUS and threaded barrel so you can put a can on it. Just a fair warning, once you get it you will be going through alot of 22LR ammo. Thank God it is cheap!

The irons that come on the 15-22 work great. I put on a Primary Arms Micro clone that I picked up on the EE for less than 50 bucks. It's accurate enough for .22LR and works great.
