Convert 27 to 26

Thanks in advance.

What parts must be replaced to convert a Model 27 to 9mm?

To truly convert a 27 to a 26, you need an ejector, magazines, complete slide and barrel.

To convert a 27 to shoot 9mm you just need a conversion barrel.

1) Third Party 40-9mm Conversion Barrel;
Lots of GlockTalk folks seem to like Lone Wolf, KKM and Storm Lake.
2) G26 9mm mags.

You can also use G19 and G17 mags.
I like XGrip adapters with extended mags.
G33/G32/G23 40-9mm conversion barrels will work too.
The G23/G32 barrels will extend past the frame about 1/2".
Gen 3 G26/G27/G33 guns all use the same RSA.

9mm can be problematic when light (115 gr) and low powered.
As there may not be enough force to drive the slide.
I like to run 124/127 gr myself.

Have ~3000 flawless rounds on the odometer
with a gen 3 G27, Storm Lake 40-9mm barrel and G26 mags.
Of which over 1000 were LE hollow points.

Have Fun and good luck with your Glock!

Be advised;
If you go with 9mm ejector/extractor,
you can forget just swapping barrels and mags to shoot 40 and 9mm.

Spoke to Glock on this.

The slide and RSA are the same for the 27 as it is for the 26.

So, you need:

-Conversion barrel.
-9mm magazines.
-Extractor.
-Ejector.

The ejector and extractor are not as important, but it does add a margin of precision to the cycling action due to the reduced case diameter.

This is all you need if you plan to carry it. If its just
for the range you don't need to change the
extractor or the ejector.

I changed my extractor to a 9mm extractor because it was having problems pulling the cases out of the chamber. Mine now runs both 9mm and 40sw perfectly, but, ymmv!
