I dunno Joe. I vote against the bbl mod on the Pro. If the production stops at 5k they are going to skyrocket (get it skyROCKET) in price. It is unlike any other 1911 in that it is FBI specd.
So you know I have one of the worlds best 1911 smiths lined up to flush and reverse crown mine, but I've decided against it due the the above mentioned reasoning.
Whether you keep it for life or not, even have sacs install a new bbl down the road if you change your mind...some of the mystique will be tarnished.

But you know me though...Mine has to be a true one of a kind. I don't EVER plan on selling ANY of the 3. Hell, I modified and hardchromed my STI Legacy as well as my RRA. Besides, I've never seen a tricked out or much less, a hardchromed Pro.

I agree, but I'm not above buying another Pro someday. Hell, if I get on the list now, I'll get it sometime in the next 2 years.

But the Pro is a different matter entirely than those....where's Brian when you need him?
as for a tricked out one,,,I've seen one done by JH.

Brian doesn't even own a Pro.
And I guess you're gonna see another tricked out Pro pretty soon.

I know but his insight was instrumental in me not only keeping the Pro, but not modding it
...I tried

I really like the Wilson Bullet Proof strong side safety. I fit this one the day I got this TRP. The safety is my main complaint on SA 1911s.
