General thank you to all...

I posted a question recently regarding reloading .40's for a G23- was having problems with getting consistent velocities (super high SD and ES). Got a lot of feedback and advice. The most consistent advice was to go with a faster powder or boost the charge on the powders I was trying out. Well, I did go with a faster powder (went all the way up to 231), and low and behold IT WORKED! My jaw hit the floor when my chrono clocked SD of 4.4 and ES of 16!!!! So thanks for the advice- my load is now 5.0 gr. of 231 in Win Brass pushing Hornady 180 gr. HAP's with COAL of 1.125. I am getting a CONSISTENT PF of 168!

I don't think I had anything to do with the advice but I'm glad to see it worked out.

Since I am just about to start loading .40 S&W, I'm very interested in your results.

Bump it to 170 PF minimum IF your actually going to be checked at a match. If not and the load is accurate, congratulations your done. Happy Gaming.

Actually, thanks for following up. Questions/problems always come up and then we never get to find out if the problem was solved and how.

Your welcome!

(I didn't actually have anything to do with the OPs question, this just helps me feed my delusion that there is some merit in my posts in this forum)
