New Benchmade 940

A few days ago they had a Benchmade rep at the local outdoor store with all of their knives on display and fee engraving. I'd been wanting to pick up a 940 for a while and couldn't resist the 15% off sale.

So far I love it. The action is super smooth, and it is easy to open quickly or slowly with either the thumb stud or the axis lock. This is my first S30V knife so I can't report yet on how well it will hold up. I've always thought they were one of the prettiest looking knives baring high ends and customs.

I like the look of the anodized ti backspacer as well. Fit and finish are perfect. It is actually surprisingly light, and was razor sharp from the box. Click the pics to enlarge.

Love my 940, so much that I plan to get a 943 (same knife with a black handle and pointier blade profile). The Benchmade Osborne designs are some of my favorites:
