The stupidity continues...

The article was really fuzzy...

Did the article mean to say the guy was looking to steal the drug dealer's $20,000, so his plan was to go to the police and say he "misplaced" the money, but tell the police that the money was really for a drug dealer, so could the police write a note saying the money was seized...?

Well, let's hope the drug dealer don't read the news...

I can remember seizing large amounts of cash from couriers who would say they didn't want a receipt, who would then come back then next day, all beat up, and wanting one.

Those receipts would often turn up in the strangest places on later warrants.

When arrested, police searched Thomas' suitcase and personal property. They found $17,000... in the pockets of packed blue jeans and another $3,000 in his wallet.
Didn't I learn on the internet that people always carry large amounts in cash everywhere, all the time? And this guy from NC probably flew into Tuscon to buy a used car. Why? Because if he already owned a car, he wouldn't need to fly in.
