To make the assertion that something "doesn't make you smarter" presupposes there was a question or issue.
Were you seeking something to make you smarter?
There has been research in that area for years.

The concept of humor is lost on some people. I find the story amusing, that's all. I don't need to be any smarter than I am. MJ is a factor here, she injected it into the situation, not me.
I think it's funny when dumb crooks trip themselves up.

Humor is often lost on me, but not always...
It can depend greatly on the perceived intent.
I haven't opened the linked item-
Is someone cited there claiming that MJ made him smarter?
I myself could definitely use all the additional smarts I can get. I'm continually attempting things/projects that are a step or two above my capabilities. I'm very blessed though to have some incredibly smart friends. They're usually available to lend help when it's needed.

Anyone that seriously believes MJ made her dumb enough to brag about robbing a bank on youtube has never smoked it and/or may be just as dumb as she is. I can guarantee she was that dumb long before she ever smoked weed. That said I can dig on the humor. Well played Doc.

I dunno...she has that look of a burned out stoner.
Also, in the film you can tell that she believes she is highly creative, funny and, of course, smarter than everyone else. Also that utterly stunned and incomprehending expression she displays in her mug shot is another dead giveaway.

People do dumb stuff. A gal went into a local pharmacy to pick up a prescription and left her purse on the counter. The staff looked in the purse to see who it belonged to and found drugs. They called the cops who in turn called the owner of the purse. When she came to claim it the cops arrested her and her husband who was outside waiting in the car with more drugs.
Then there was the guy that walked into the cop shop smoking a joint.
