What I want to know about heaven is, is it a lot like Dixie? I mean, do they have a Grand Ole Opry, like they do in Tennessee? Are there honey trees and crazy little weeds growin around your shack? Well, we won't be in heaven. The Bible never says this. Eventually the New Jerusalem will come down to the new earth. Heaven and the material world will be one and the same. God's thrown will be here. This was the promise to Abraham.

There's a whole bit universe out there. I'm sure we'll have plenty to do, whatever that is.

That's very similar to what the JWs believe but god doesn't take care of matters himself. Just Armageddon and then the chosen (meaning the JWs) left behind to rebuild the ruins with only 144,000 going to heaven. The rebuilders will have a 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ to work while they gradually attain perfection and then the earth will be a paradise again.

They didn't like the idea of me going to med school, military or the police academy and said hell no to geology or paleontology because those are useless professions in a perfect world but I was swinging hammers and laying bricks since before I can remember.

Sometimes I wish I was born Jewish so I would have been pushed into something more than construction trades.

The Bible has the answers. God will give us a piece of land in the country and a room in the city. There will be plenty of things to do beside gardening, building and getting to know millions of close friends as well as travel to billions of stars with their inhabitants.

We will not marry in heaven. All of heaven is a very close family much closer than we experience now.
