Should I?
Here's a good one for you....
A good friend of mine just inherited his grandfathers gun collection. In the back of the safe is a brand spanking new HK P7M8 and it's never been fired!
I have first dibs on it since he doesn't want it. What would a fair offer be for this?

To be fair, probably around $1500.

Unfired, they generally sell for over $2000 these days. If its truly unfired in box, here are some auctions to look at.
Here's one with a $2000 bid that hasn't hit the reserve and a BIN of $2300.

Here's one with a $1400 bid and a BIN of $2400.

Here's one for $2500.

That would be a real low ball offer these days. Prices have gone up quite a bit.
To be fair, I'd offer $1800, which would still be a decent deal.

Holy HK Deanna!
Should I? Hell Yes.
As for price,
I've seen in like new condition for $1800/$2000.
Check Gunsamerica and gunbroker.
If it's really NIB un-fired? $1800 is a fair offer.
But the pup is worth $2000 easy in my book.
Let us know what happens young lady.
Inquiring minds want to know - LOL!

It's a done deal!
I traded My Rock River National Match, Glock 20SF, some ammo and $300 for it!
I would call that even! I can't wait to shoot it!

The P7M8 is one of my "bucket list" guns.
You didn't have the G20SF long?

Nope!
I was going to do a little more testing with it but I decided that the shooting I did with it pretty much made up my mind of the cartridge.
A Glock is a Glock.
I traded it for something that I liked better....
Another HK!

Congrats on a nice find! Unfired P7's are hard to come by, unless you are willing to pay top market value for them.
I would have bought it too... Probably wouldn't shoot it though if it is truly NIB, simply to preserve the value. Shooter grade P7's are still plentiful, and sometimes can be found at a good price.

p7 platform platitudes
well done, neoh. as a fellow hk aficionado and satisfied owner of a m8, m13 and m10, i'm sure you will grow to appreciate the p7 system. now hear this-- you must shoot your new acquisition, and often. not to fear, the p7 is a tank and can take a great number of rounds without discenrnable effect. enjoy and post a range report. regards-- deguelo

Deanna,
You're going to flip the P7?
Say it isn't so...
Un-fired, I guess it's literally worth it's weight in gold.
But a pristine P7?
Guess you could flip it.
Pick up a second nice P7 and something else sweet too?
Keep us informed.
We all live vicariously through each others adventures - LOL!

Now you can go out and buy four ten millimeters.
I wish H&K made a 10mm pistol.
