Im on a waiting list for a G19

Hey guys.
Been looking for a glock 19 gen 3 for a while online. Only places I found some was gunbroker but they are too expensive. So few days ago I decided to go to a LGS and talk to them.
They put my name on a waiting list and said I should have it sometime in APRIL...I HATE waiting......

I guess April is going to be a good month. Getting a new gun, my bike is coming out of winter storage and Im going to mexico...

By the way, how many of you guys CC a glock 19? is it a good size to CC all year or should I look into getting something smaller for the summer months?

Full size glocks are kind of a pain to "conceal" carry. If you can open carry, open carry it.

I sometimes CC the 19/23, but I find the Walther PPS in a Crossbreed more comfortable.

I like my 23 and use the 27 for summer carry but that big 230grn .45 HST inspires a lot of confidence. my new 30sf weighs about the same as the 23 and just a tad wider and just about as easy to carry. so most of the time thats what I'll carry. the 30sf does carry much better than I would have thought and with the 9 round mag conceals easy too.

G19 is not a full-size. It is a compact (the middle size of the three for Glock)

I carry a G19 in a Sof-Tuk at my 4:00 position and I have no trouble with it. It conceals just fine with most normal clothing.

Now, that being said, I did just order a G26. I got the oh-so-wonderful GSSF "coupon" and used it to get a G26 coming. I have no idea how long I'll have to wait, but it's on the way at least.

I expect the G26 will be even easier to carry, but the g19 is fine too.

Glock resell value

I have a Glock resell value quesion. How much does it take away from resell vaule if all you have is the gun and mags - no original box?

I asked beacuse of this: I was told there is a LGS an hour away that is real good. I called and they had a new Glock 23 Gen 3, which is what I have been looking for. I drive there and they bring out the gun on top of a box. As I was looking it over I notice the box is for a 17, I looked at him and he said I think the box for this gun (23) went out with the 17 that belongs to that box. The entire thing made me a little nervous. He said it would not affect the resell value. What do you guys think?

Why are you buying a gun and worrying about resale value?

To some people it matters, and to some people it doesn't. If I was going to collect them, then it would hurt the value. If I buy them to shoot, then I don't care what kind of box it is in.

An FFL lost his FFL because of irregularities in his bound book. Before losing his FFL, he was calling former customers to get boxes and other things back from them. In the end, he had to report over a hundred guns as stolen since his paperwork was not in order. This was one guy near by, but, paperwork for the feds must be in order. Sloppy practices are a clue. Check out other guns in his inventory. Is this a one-time thing, or is there a pattern here?

In the collector market...it can matter significantly. In the current panic market...with a mass produced weapon such as a Glock...it's not a killer but to all but the real hardcore aficionados and maybe the ATF for investigative matters..

Let's be realistic though. Barring a total gun ban...with the total numbers produced of any given model...your Glock will most likely never be a a hot collector item within our lifetime.

It's not your worry so...fuuugitaboutit and enjoy your Glock

The dealer should contact the previous buyer and exchange the boxes with him.

Quick question on G-19 price.

While on my way to a afternoon meeting I made a brief stop at the LGS. They have a new third generation G-19 for $499 which with tax would put it at $534 OTD. Good price? Normal? What do you think? Thanks sincerely. bruce.

Three new-in-box Glock 19 RTF2s (no gills) for $550 on GunBroker

Just thought I'd let everyone know. Though these are the non-gilled RTF2s, it still is a great deal for a piece of Glock history.
